B. TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS PILOT STUDY
Research Study
This study is to see if a device called the Resonator™ effects levels of fasting serum blood glucose levels, finger stick blood glucose levels and hemoglobin A1c levels in people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, by putting out low strength magnetic fields around the body. As well as your regular finger stick test, you will need to go to a lab 2 times each month that you are in the study to do a blood test.
How Long Will the Study Last?
There will be 3 exposures to the Resonator™ each week for up to 39 exposure visits over 13 weeks. Each exposure visit will last about 1 1/2 hours. Afterwards, there will be 3 months where you will not get any more exposures to the Resonator, but you will need to keep doing the study measurements. If you attend all 39 Resonator exposure visits, all test site and lab site visits for measurements and blood draws and complete all of the at-home finger stick blood sugar draws, you will receive $1,000.
