Magnetic Field Therapy for Alzheimer’s Disease With recent studies showing positive results in using magnetic therapy to treat symptoms of Parkinson’s diseases and Osteoarthritis, Pico-Tesla Magnetic Therapies has begun to test the effects of pulsed magnetic therapy on other disorders and diseases as well. At the University of South Florida, Pico-Tesla has begun to study how electromagnetic therapy derived from the Resonator™ device may work to diminish the signs of Alzheimer’s disease. Like the previous studies, the goal is to demonstrate whether magnetic therapy, when used along with the patient’s current oral medications, may be successful in reducing the symptoms of the disease. Subjects of the study will sit within the Resonator™ device, surrounded by a low-level electromagnetic field. Investigators of the study will test the efficacy of the magnet therapy device in diminishing the signs of Alzheimer’s. If previous studies that found pulsed magnetic therapies successful in alleviating symptoms associated with a Neurological disorder (such as Parkinson’s Disease) are any indication of what the Resonator™ may do, Investigators are interested in the results of this Alzheimer’s study. As Pico-Tesla’s Alzheimer’s research continues, the data collected from the Studies can only help us understand better, how of if we may have an impact on this terrible disease. While there is no cure, or even an effective treatment for the disease today, Pico-Tesla hopes that the Studies we’re engaged in currently will help their Resonator™ device to join the ranks of FDA approved alternatives for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. |
